64Ah RESS - Battery Replace Guide For Service Personnel

Replace Battery Module

 

 

  • Ensure that the new battery is not damaged in appearance and the package contains all accessories. 
  • Do not change battery in rainy or stormy days. 
  • Replacement battery module shall be new or a remanufactured module that is within one year and have a variance of less than 300 cycles. 
  • Ensure that the voltage difference between batteries in series is not greater than 1V.
    Before visit the user, obtain the SOC information of user’s system and prepare a battery module with similar SOC.
     If the voltage difference is greater than 1V, charge the battery with lower voltage till the voltage difference meets requirement.

Replace battery module in the following way:

Step 1: Wear safety gloves.


Step 2: Cut off external power supply.

  • Send a shutdown or relay off signal through PCS to power off the battery system.
  • Open the cabinet door and pull the breaker switch of the BMS Box to OFF.


Step 3: Unplug power wire and network cable from battery terminals.

 

Step 4: Loosen the two M4x10 screws (torque: 1-2N.m) of the fixing plate that stops the module moving out.


Step 5: Lift the faulty module up and move it out of the cabinet.


Step 6: Move the battery via handles into packing case and transport battery to a designated repair site. 


Step 7: Install a new battery, fasten the fixing plate, and connect cables to the battery module.


Step 8: Pull the breaker switch of the BMS Box to ON. The battery system is powered on.

 

 

Replace BMS Box

 

  • Ensure that the new BMS Box is not damaged in appearance and the package contains all accessories. 
  • Do not change BMS Box in rainy or stormy days.  

When a BMS box is faulty, you might need to replace it with another one.

Step 1: Wear safety gloves.


Step 2: Cut off external power supply.

  • Send a shutdown or relay off signal through PCS to power off the battery system. We have none
  • Open the cabinet door and pull the breaker switch of the BMS Box to OFF.


Step 3: Unplug power wires and network cable connecting to PCS  from BMS Box.

Use insulation tape to wrap the terminals of power wires.


Step 4: Unplug network cables and power wire connecting to module from BMS Box.



Step 5: Loosen four screws that fixing the BMS Box and take the BMS Box out of the cabinet.



Step 6: Install a new BMS Box and connect wires and network cables to the new BMS Box.


Step 7: Pull the breaker switch of the BMS Box to ON. The battery system is powered on.

 

 

Replace Wire or Cable

 

  • Ensure that the new cable is not damaged in appearance. 
  • Do not change wire or cable in rainy or stormy days.  

Replace wire or cable in the following way:

Step 1: Wear safety gloves.


Step 2: Cut off external power supply.

  • Send a shutdown or relay off signal through PCS to power off the battery system. 
  • Pull the breaker switch of the BMS Box to OFF.


Step 3: Unplug the desired power wire or network cable.


Step 4: Insert a new wire or cable.


Step 5: Pull the breaker switch of the BMS Box to ON. The battery system is powered on.
